Yorick Systems: A Company of Infinite Ideas

Just in time for the Year 2000, Yorick Systems is proud to introduce YS Cobol, the first COBOL development tool for the Palm Computing Platform!

YS Cobol lets you easily create applications for the PalmOS, on the the PalmOS itself, using ANSI standard COBOL-85 with PalmOS API extensions.

Compile, link, execute and debug, all within YS Cobol's integrated development environment. The source code window supports standard PalmOS editing features, plus several common ISPF commands.

Yorick System's exclusive Active Tokens technology compresses and tokenizes your source code "on the fly", reducing the RAM requirements by up to 70%, and speeding up compilation time. Plus, our Data Wizard lets you create file and sort definitions for your PalmOS databases with just a few button taps.

"Yorick Systems", "YS Cobol", and the Yorick logo are trademarks of Yorick Systems, as are the slogans "A Company of Infinite Ideas", "Make Y2K A-OK", "COBOL: Catch the Bug!", and "Is that a full-fledged, ANSI-compliant, mainframe-level COBOL development environment in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?".
"WorkPad" is a registered trademark of IBM. Just about anything with the word "Palm" in it is a registered trademarks of 3Com corporation, which the notable exception of "Palm-sized PC", which we're surprised even Microsoft got away with.
Although we produce a COBOL compiler, Yorick Systems in no way endorses or condones the actual use of this crusty old language. Neither Yorick Systems, nor its parent company (Tasaday Software), may be held liable for any loss of productivity caused by wondering what the hell they were thinking back then.
