SIGIR invites applications for small awards to help cover the cost of travel, subsistence, and registration to the SIGIR 2004 conference. Preference will be given to applicants that are attendees of the doctoral consortium, principal authors and presenters (of papers, posters, or demos) and that have no other source of travel support. Due to particularly generous support from the EU Marie Curie fund, there may be money left for workshop or tutorial attendees or for recently graduated researchers.
The deadline for applying for student travel support is May 3. Decisions will be announced by May 24.
The application form is below. Return completed applications before May 3 to
Beti Dimitrievska by email (beti@cs.rmit.edu.au).
