About me
I'm a graduate student at RMIT working with
Seyed M. M. Tahaghoghi
and
Justin Zobel.
I completed a B.App.Sci (Hons. Class 1) at RMIT.
My research interests include:
- Near-duplicate Image Retrieval
- Content-based Image/Video Retrieval
- Indexing for Image/Video Databases
Research
In environments such as personal computers and the web, it
is common for images to be distributed, copied, or reused.
Such reuse often involves varying the image by scaling, change of
colour space, alteration of bitrate, or cropping; thus copies of
images may be
co-derivative or
near-duplicate rather than copied.
For reasons such as copyright protection, it is attractive to be
able to detect such image variants. My research focuses on developing
solutions to efficient co-derivative image detection within a large scale
collection. For duplicate-detections for image web search, we've developed
SICO (SImilar Image COllator) which is available
here.
