The RMIT DSEA Lab

These pages are under construction. I am in the process of migrating the Monash DSEA Lab to RMIT and reshaping it. DSEA is short for "Distributed Software Engineering and Architecture" (DSEA) Laboratory. The DSEA Lab at Monash has been a lab under the Monash Centre for 'Distributed Systems and Software Engineering' (aka DSSE). DSSE itself is restructuring due to the DSEA competency leaving.

The new lab at RMIT will be less formally structured,

  1. provide a focus for research in software engineering for parallel and distributed software and systems;
  2. comprise a collection of funded research grants and projects administered within the School of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT);
  3. include industry projects and networks with academic and research programmes of leading IT providers;
  4. assist CSIT in its RQF submission and evaluation;
  5. and last not least, create a research-teaching nexus with the "Software Engineering and Architecture" education focus of the School as currently presented in our various undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

For the time being you will also still find a description of the DSEA lab related information on this Monash University web page: www.dsse.monash.edu.au

If you are joining DSEA as a new member, you may find these preliminary notes useful.
