Overview
I am a Lecturer and Researcher at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, and a member of the Information Storage and Retrieval Research Group. I also organize a weekly reading group focusing on information retrieval and search algorithms called TIGER. If you're interested in algorithms and data structures for search and would like to find out more about TIGER, or doing research at RMIT, please feel free to contact me.
Research
My research interests focus mainly on space-efficient data structures. If you're interested, see my research and publications pages. I currently supervise two research postgraduate students (Matthias Petri [PhD] and Gaya Jayasinghe [PhD]). If you are interested in a research career with a focus on practical algorithm design and analysis, feel free to contact me directly.
