I am currently doing a Phd in the area of Adaptive Learning Technologies.

I am looking at the effective use of a web based adaptive learning system.  Hence my thesis is entitled "The effective implementation of a web based adaptive learning system".  I am interested in improving student outcomes as a result of the implementation of such a system.  I am currently implementing a ALS (Adaptive Learning System) in order to provide a test bed for my thesis.
